Pregnant with her firstborn, warrior Laura stands with her completed ritual spear

"I am 25 years old, wife to a wonderful man, a first-time mother, a Celt and a Witch. I am a second-year high school English and drama teacher.

"I have been involved with the Craft for four years, being drawn first to Wicca through books and the internet, and then finding a strong interest in Avalonian lore through the Sisterhood of Avalon. Although the Holy Isle resides most definitely as a place of healing within which I seek, I have found that the particular tradition is not mine. At least not entirely.

"I came to the Clan of the Laughing Dragon after becoming friends with many of the members individually and attending all their public rituals and any private rituals to which I was invited. I have found a family here, and this Clan is truly my Clan. I am a daughter and a sister here.

Alas! I look nothing like the woman in the graphic.

"Of late, I have attracted a couple of guides in the other realms. One is a Priestess of Avalon -- an Irish woman in the patronage of Brighid. Another guide is my dragon, Azhlin. She is a blue dragon -- young and playful -- and looks strikingly similar to the graphic. The most recent guide is Reyna, the mother of my daughter's dragon, Reynita. Both mother and daughter are golden dragons.

"Brighid is my primary Goddess, and I feel Her touch in my life daily. I do not have a particular set pantheon, although I am drawn to all the Celtic Deities -- primarily Welsh, with the obvious exception of the Irish Brighid. Recently, a couple of Greek Deities, Aphrodite and Dionysus, have made their indelible impressions in my magical/spiritual practice.

"As in other places in my life, I feel that my calling here is to learn, support, share and teach."
